My electric guitar

I have academic degree, I’ve manage to learn many not trivial topics so why not learn how to play a guitar? :-) First step is to buy one. I didn’t want anything extraordinary, just electric guitar. After talking to my friends I started to go through auctions with this kind of equipment. I knew from the begining that I won’t buy new one. I didn’t want powerfull amplifier either. Kind of lucky I found auction with both used guitar and amplifier. It’s playable… Some work must be done with it, but as for now everything sounds good (not always :-)).

Epiphone Junior (Les Paul) with amplifier (Epiphone Studio-10EQX) and cable.

Picks and guitar-pc connector (Neutrik).

With all accessories (cable, stand, pc conncector) it costed me about 450 PLN (which is about 160 USD; guitar + aplifier = 110 USD).

Dead souls

For me this was quite a surprise. I knew about one covered song by Nine Inch Nails, and it was Supernault. Then I saw a film by Anton Corbijn Controll, on Era Nowe Horyzonty film festival in Wrocław. On one of ending scenes Sam Riley*, playing Ian Curtis, is performing a song which I found similliar to something… After deep thinking I concluded that it was Dead Souls by NIN from The Crow soundtrack (with Brandon Lee). How could it be? Well actualy it’s Joy Division’s song and was officialy first released on Substance in 1988.

* another surprise is that every song in Control is originalu performed by the actors :-).
